The boys took their name from a famous
market in Florida called Backstreet Market.
AJ hates
Easter because when he was little his mom used to make him dress
up as a bunny and hand out eggs.
Nick used to be a
cheerleader.
Kevin is so shy that
he had to be persuaded for two hours to take off his shirt for
the All I Have To Give video.
Nick is a big
prankster, the worst trick he did was giving a fish tasted
chewing gum to the group's manageress.
In 1996 the boys beat
the Spice Girls, Boyzone and Oasis in winning the Select Award at
the Europe MTV Awards.
Brian and Nick are
said to be very untidy that they never clean their room, while
Howie is extremely tidy and neat.
Kevin used to work at
Disney MGM Studios in Florida, pretending to be Aladdin.
Nick is a blimmin'
top drummer probably because he's been playing it since he was
14. Nick is a licensed scuba diver and his fav. place taking a
dip is in Mexico.
In their spare time
Nick loves to draw comic book-type pictures, Aj loves going to
discos or writes poems, Brian likes to go to the church on sunday
and AJ and Howie likes to chat with their friends on phone.
When Howie was very
small he used to sing Micheal Jackson songs around the house
especially while he was in bathroom.
Howie always does a
few press-uos before he goes to bed.
The boys are banned
from 3 different hotels in Europe 'cause the last time they
stayed their the fans has caused alot of damage.
AJ's first roles at
school was in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and he played
Dopey.
AJ has an
enormous collection of hats and glasses and he says "I like
all different types and styles".
Nick's
father had to built an massive fence since the fans were nicking
the grass and the flowers.
Howie is
half-Spanish and half-Porto Rican, though he only actually learnt
to speak Spanish while at High School.
Brain
says his most annoying personal habit is "Bitting my nails.
I can't stop and they always look awful".
Kevin's
fav. film is Top Gun. And Kevin is a qualified ballroom dance
instructor.
All the
boys love basketball but Brian is brilliant. If he hadn't had a
heart problem he would have become a professional.
Kevin is
well liked by the staff of his local grocery store since he buys
alot of peanut butter. And he says he'll it anything with peanut
butter. Also he is a family-loving type that he takes family
snaps when the band is on tour.
Howie
appeared in a couple of films like "Parenthood" and
"Cop and a Half".
Kevin
loves chatting with his pet cat Quincy.
The first
song Kevin wrote was called "As Time Goes By" which he
says "was awful". And Kevin used to be in the band
called "Paradise" before joining the BSB.
The place
you are most likely to find BSB is McDonald's.
AJ and
Howie turned up at the same time for the BSB'S audition in '92
and became immediate mates.
